The newly constructed Washington County Correctional is a 226,376 square foot facility with recreation areas, cafeteria, administration buildings, and five inmate housing buildings. The inmate facilities includes 480 precast cells which were strategically engineered, fabricated, and assembled. The buildings are masonry/steel load bearing walls, single ply roof, split face block, and EIFS exterior walls, surrounded by a double security fence. The building includes security doors and hardware, security surveillance systems, and intercom to each cell unit and pods. Support facilities include plumbing waste and water supply in which a water tower had to be installed to support the facilities requirements, electrical, mechanical, intrusion detection systems, CCTV and fire suppression system.
