Army Lodge Facility

Description- The Army Lodge is a four-story, approximately 125 KSF, 209-unit lodging facility for standard extended-stay and MC rooms and in house laundry. Exterior is masonry veneer; there is hollow core paving, metal trusses and metal roof.

            

Software Support Facility

Description- Construct a new 70,000 square foot facility at Robins Air Force Base. The project consists of secure labs, with a high security lab area as well. The second floor consist of offices in a non-secure area for administration and office spaces in a secure area which ties back to the secure labs on the first floor.

Description- This project consists of a 24-building training complex providing a small town atmosphere with 6 office buildings, 9 residence buildings, a three-story government complex, three-story hotel, bank, service station, two-story town house, 2 warehouses, a chapel, a school and a dry latrine on one site. On a separate site, a combination range operations and after-action review and another dry latrine and wellhouses were constructed for training observation and administration. The “Rock” is an administrative complex within the facility where classroom training takes places and also houses administrative offices. Total square footage is approximately 80,000 SF.

Augusta Regional Airport
Augusta, GA - 2008

Description- Augusta Regional Airport construction includes new buildings that completely replace the old terminal building, including the temporary facilities needed for phased construction and demolition of the old terminal (including asbestos-containing material removal and underground storage tank removal). The terminal consists of approximately 1,000 square feet of basement, 80,500 square feet of ground floor space and 13,000 square feet of second floor space. The second floor is offices and administrative areas. The new terminal has 8,000 square feet of curb front canopy, brick screen walls and enclosures, landscaping, and an interior and exterior signage and graphics program. New amenities include non-hardstand pavements, utilities, hardstand pavement, curb front renovations, credit card rehabilitation, south side employee parking, north side multi-modal curb and revenue parking expansion. Total building size is 106,708 square feet.

Henderson Library
Georgia Southern - Statesboro, GA - 2008

Contract Amount - $23,330,739
Description- The existing structure was originally built by McKnight about 35 years ago. The Henderson Library addition and renovation provides a 103,481 square foot addition and brings the total area to 239,099 square feet. Functional components include and entrance lobby, an “Information Commons” capable of 24-hour operation, an increase in shelving space, an automatic storage and retrieval system, group study rooms and staff offices. The original building was gutted and revamped inside and out, including a red brick façade. There are more than 1900 seats and 29 group study rooms available.

Total complex square footage is approximately 65,000 sq ft.

Southeast Bulloch High School
Brooklet, GA - 2007

Contract Amount - $18,863,088
Description- 162,000 SF. Building structure is a combination of load-bearing masonry with height/weight insulating concrete roof deck with single ply roofing and structural steel with pre-engineered purlins and metal roof system. Exterior appearance consists of brick veneer, EIFs, metal wall panels and aluminum windows and storefront.

      






Chapel & Education Center
Ft Benning, GA - 2005

Contract Amount - $6,397,611
Description- This project was a design-build Army Chapel that seats 600 people and is approximately 20,000 square feet. This contract also included the design and construction of a religious education center. Supporting facilities that were designed and constructed include utility connections, electrical services, exterior lighting, fire protection and alarm systems; covered front and rear entrances; paving; sidewalks; new parking and refurbishment of existing parking spaces; storm drainage, and site improvements. Anti-terrorism force protection was incorporated into the project.

Columbia County Library
Evans, GA - 2005

Contract Amount - $8,486,000
Description- The construction of the Columbia County Library consisted of a 51,000 square foot masonry/structural steel load-bearing building divided into two sections. The north half is a 400 seat performing arts area with a stage, stage lighting, sound system, and an overhead catwalk for theater controls. The south side is a two-level public library space, with the children’s area upstairs, and the adult and research information downstairs. The outside portion is fully landscaped, including a terraced modular wall, and a performance amphitheater.

Description- Glynn County Public Health is a 28,900 square foot state-of-the-art facility featuring a record storage facility, administrative areas, pharmacy, exam rooms, immunization clinic and separate ventilation system for tuberculosis patients.

Liberty County Jail Expansion

Description- The expansion of the Liberty County Jail consists of a 120-cell pod addition and a 50-man work release. Renovation has occurred to the existing administrative parts of the building. Cells were pre-fabricated and strategically placed alongside each other.

Passenger Processing Facility

Description- The Passenger Processing Facility at Fort Benning is a 90,000 SF Main Facility including assembly spaces, offices, classroom space, conference room, toilets and showers and a secure storage space. Other components include covered pallet storage area, 100 ton in-ground vehicle scale, a vehicle wash rack, a load staging area for nine aircraft, a fueling/de-fueling station, a security storage area, a material handling equipment storage building, a bus drop-off area and a 15,000 lb. pallet scale. Supporting facilities include roads, parking areas for privately owned vehicles, fencing and utility services.

      

Columbia County Detention Center
Appling, GA - 2001

Contract Amount - $13,687,887
Description- The older Columbia County Jail was expanded, adding a direct-supervision housing pod in the mid nineties. The current expansion replaced all of the detention areas except the new housing pod, but required connection to that pod in developing a new organizational concept. The final plan accommodates several key site issues such as a new orientation and point of arrival, a limited building area due to a difficult terrain, potential demolition of the old housing areas, and future expansion.

Cross Creek High School

Description- Cross Creek High School is designed with a wide central hall that extends from one end of the complex to the other. All educational units feed into the mall, which overlooks two garden courts and moves students smoothly from unit to unit. There are five Educational wings and Tech Lab, Media Center, Art, Drama, and Administrative units that connect to the mall and are anchored by a Lobby, Kitchen, Band/Chorus Room, and an Auditorium one end and a Lobby, Gymnasium, and Physical Education Complex on the other. Each unit is designed to be able to expand separately and easily with future growth.
